The Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, Maj. Gen. Felix Mujakperuo has urged the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly , Rt. Hon. Felix Oborevwori to work very closely with Chief Felix Anirah of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, the house of assembly member-elect to represent the good people of Sapele State constituency in the Delta State of Assembly, maintaining that the Speaker has experience and both of them are sons of Okpe Kingdom because Sapele and Okpe are one.


He made this call recently at his palace when Chief Anirah and his team pays “a thank you visit” to the king at Orerokpe, in Okpe local government area of Delta State.


Orodje while expressing satisfaction at the visit, said that Chief Anirah should remember to redeem all the promises he made to Sapele /Okpe people during his campaign.


In the same vein, the Okpe Monarch has expressed total displeasure at the killings in Sapele during the Presidential and National Assembly elections where two persons were reported dead. He said the Okpe Kingdom is known for peace and unity and as such, the tempo must be maintained.


On his part, the member-elect, Delta State house of Assembly Sapele state constituency, Chief Felix Anirah has said that he is grateful to the Orodje and indeed the entire Okpe people for their unalloyed support and prayers during the period of the election.


“The visit is to tell my King thank you for the fatherly prayers, advised and royal blessings during the period of my election and am grateful to God that we made it and it is a victory for democracy” he said. 

He added that he will deliver on all his campaign promises and move Okpe Kingdom to a grater height.
The highlight of the visit was a special prayer for chief Anirah and his team by the Orodje of Okpe.
