There was hullabaloo on Tuesday as some members of Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN)  better known as Shi’ites stormed the national assembly complex premises and battled fiercely with security operatives.

The group was protesting the release of  Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, their leader, who had been held hostage for some time.

Media report has it that they destroyed quite a number of vehicles, shattered the glass of some offices while chairs and tables were reduced to ruins, during the violent invasion.

As a result, the house of representatives announced the adjournment of plenary, while Femi Gbajabiamila, the speaker, told lawmakers that an executive session would be held to deliberate the incident.
