EDO LG COUNCIL POLL: Ogbemudia Emerges Ovia North East APC Chairmanship candidate

After a keenly contested primaries for the election of the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC) Chairmanship flag bearer for Ovia North East Local Government Council of Edo State in the forthcoming council polls in the state, Scott Osazee Ogbemudia from ward 13 (Utoka), emerged victorious.

He picked the ticket ahead of many other aspirants who also were in contention in the peaceful and well attended primaries which held in Oluku ward.

In his victory speech, Ogbemudia thanked the party leaders in the area for finding him worthy to represent them.

In an interview with reporters he promised to provide credible leadership and assured that he will carry all the aspirants and members of the party along if elected in the March 3 poll.

“It was a family affair. In political situation one expects conflicting interests which is normal.

“But after the entire manoeuvre we remain one big and strong family which makes our opponents feels intimidated.

“I thank all our leaders, elders, youths and women leaders for the confidence and opportunity being offered the youth to prove themselves.”
