Politicians especially from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP ln Delta Central today rose from a close door meeting condemning the calculated attack by a PDP Stalwart in Ward One, Mr Sunny Nwankego on the House of Assembly Candidate, Sapele Constituency, Chief Felix Anirah, adding that his comment is a recipe for chaos.
In a separate statement, the leaders condemned Nwankego media attack on the PDP aspirant as baseless and a disgrace, insisting Anirah is a man of impeccable credentials “
The General Overseer of St. Akpata New Jerusalem Church of God Worldwide, Sapele, Delta State, Bishop G.O. Akpata, one of the Churches he was alleged to have made promises to, without fulfilling it, described the unruly and unverified press statement by the aide to the speaker as baseless, hopeless, wicked and detestful,
He said, ” There was no time Chief (Hon.) Felix Uruemuesiri Anirah promised this church has never million naira rather he was used by God to donate a sum of Three Hundred Thousand Naira (#300,000) towards the St. Akpata’s Church urgent need to De-roof and Re-roof the Church; and another Two Hundred Thousand Naira (#200,000) donation from Chief Felix Anirah’s Wife, in which Chief Felix Anirah resounded the payment modalities before the hearing of the entire congregation.” He said, adding that he has personally cashed the first cheque of One Hundred Thousand Naira (#100,000) which Chief (Hon.) Felix Anirah issued immediately at the Thanksgiving Service of St. Akpata’s Church on the said day.
He prayed that The Almighty God continue to bless and protect Chief Anirah, in other for him to continue his good works towards humanity.
The Peace Ambassador to the Governor Representing Ozue district and head trustee to Derick Oghenemine Ikoyo – Eweto Foundation, who addressed party Faithfuls on the issue today in Amukpe, Sapele also described Anirah as the people’s choice in a free and fair PDP Primaries elections in which he was a delegate,
He asserted that Chief Felix Anirah nor any leader of PDP in Sapele Local Government Area was not invited.
As for the football competition in Elume, it was inconclusive and Chief Felix Anirah nor any leader of PDP in Sapele Local Government Area was not invited.
The Peace ambassador said be hosted the Ward 11 of Sapele Local Government Area Unity Cup in which the finals of the Competition was played on the 2nd January, 2019, in Ozue Secondary school, Okuovu II, Sapele, according to him at the end of the football final match, the dignitaries gave cash donations to support and encourage the footballers and also spoke on the need to vote for the second term of our amiable Governor, that Chief Felix Anirah gave his words of appreciation and support to him the host and promised that in the next edition, he will do anything to support the host. Where then did he made promises he did not keep?”
Others who spoke are Hon.Jimmy Eta, who said he has been a member of PDP since it’s inception in 1998, that his father Late Engr. Sam Eta was even a foundation members of the party in Delta State.
He said “I was elected councillor in 2003. I have lead the party in unit 3 & 4 (New Local Government secretariat) of ward 1 since 2003 and my results in every elections can speak for itself.
I was recently appointed Supervisory Councillor by the present administration with recommendation from Chief Felix Anirah mostly because of my performance as the party’s collating officer for ward one during the January 6th 2018 local government elections. I am sure my activities over the years haven’t gone unnoticed by party leaders and faithfuls. Allegations from some quartets claiming my appointment was undeserved is wicked and malicious, a smear campaign against the very hardworking grassroots party members. It is an affront to peace and stability of the party and a direct disregard of party principles” he added
