A political pressure group that styles itself as Ughievwen Political Rebirth, (UPR) has endorsed Hon. Taleb Tebite for Delta State House of Assembly, Ughelli South Constituency, saying that he remains the best that has ever represented the constituency since the creation of the Local Government Area in 1991 to date.
The group in a statement signed by Prince Samson Janugha, Chairman of UPR and Mr. Donald Shipi, Secretary of UPR stated that the group was a unifying platform working towards supporting credible candidates for the 2019 elections in the state.
The statement reads, “UPR is a socio-political organization positioned towards bringing the Ughievwen, Olomus, Ewus, Okparabes, Effrun-Otors and Arhavwariens together for the purpose of adopting, endorsing and working for the election of credible personalities into political offices.”
The group promised to collaboration with others to ensure that to the re-election of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and his Deputy, Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro; as well as, the election of Olorogun Taleb Tebite to represent the constituency in the State House of Assembly, is achieved.
“We will as a matter of necessity, massively mobilize the grassroots towards supporting our amiable Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa and his Deputy, Barr Kingsley Otuaro in the 2019 governorship election for second term in office.
“We will also ensure that Olorogun Taleb Tebite, a detribalized grassroots politician and unifying factor in Ughelli South Local Government Area to be elected under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to represent the good people of Ughelli South Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA) come, 2019.”
The group also noted that Hon. Taleb Tebite performed excellently well when he was first elected, hence their overwhelming support for him for the exalted position.
The group listed his achievements to include several executed projects, which include youths and women empowerment, proper execution of numerous constituency projects and among others.
